is there a way to change the looks of my gnome panel or toolbar below? im using RH8..


is there a way to change the looks of my gnome panel or toolbar below?
i mean the panel that you click.. the one that has the redhat icon and the current time at the right-most part..
is there a possibility to change the looks of it?
how? can someone give me a link where i can customize that toolbar?

right click on some empty space and look for something in the context menu like "Properities" or "Configure Panel" or "Settings." You can change the colour, make it auto-hide, move it around, make it transparent...

If you want to remove items, right click on them and select "move."

Just try right-clicking everywhere and you'll find lots of fun stuff.

what version is the installed gnome in a stock redhat 8?

the gnome that comes with redhat 9 has transparent.

It's not that cool though.... it does't make the clock transparent or the "windows" that u click on to switch windows... they retain original color and transparency


Only part that becomes transparent is the spot without any items on it.
