add nomodeset to the linux line

or in /etc/default/grub

change

GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT=""
to
Code:
GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="nomodeset"
then

Code:
grub-mkconfig
