Question hi a am new to linux ,i just bought a used compaq armada and


i would like to know how to set the computer clock i dont have the specs and gb (yadda yadda ) info handy but its an older model(used) and i really dont understand techno jargon
and i only have a few questions as all im gonna use it for is surfing and talk city chat (which i cant use (no java)
so i need help a little bit please thank you
so the clock and java is about all i need (oh)>>and real player and can i install windows(any version)
ok well i cant think of any more things right now

i am grateful for any assistance i may recieve....thanks again and please help

It would really help if you told us which version
of Linux you're using, what desktop environment or
window-manager you're using, and the likes.

True. Now if you installed something like Ubuntu, Mandriva or Suse, java should be only two or three clicks away.
And what exactly is wrong with your clock? Do you mean it is a few hours off? That could be a UTC/local time thing.
