yellow dog linux 4.0.1 has been released and it comes with a lot of support for the mac mini... looks like it doesn't support the audio and/or the modem yet...
this "debian on the mac mini" page is nice - seems like the audio driver thing might be fixed soon (and hopefully the modem):
