Firefox only not having the same cursor as all X11 apps/wm ?
Hello,
I changed my cursors. However the firefox browser is having the black one.
gtk is the theme I choosed.
gimp is fine, the theme.
I found that kspread is not ok, it does not follows the main choosed x11 theme, all other apps does well the selection of the x11 theme that has been selected.
# mkdir -p /usr/share/icons/default (only if needed)
Edit or create the /usr/share/icons/default/index.theme file and add the following:
[icon theme]
Inherits=foobar
However I have still no .Xdefaults into user directory. Should I create one? Additionally, it looks to be a bug isnt it?
I noticed that kspread, skype, firefox have the wrong x11 cursor (to the x11 selected theme)
You just might have to search around man.... It sounds like a very simple problem, but I can not replicate it on my end. Sorry bro...
Josh
You know ... I hope so much Josh that it is a simple problem.
so based on the first thread, reboot and the /usr folder considered has been tested. It has not changed the situation I start icewm without gdm , from tty1 and from startx http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...-icons-522574/
I looked too into http://plasmasturm.org/code/gtk-chtheme/screenshot.png but it has no options for definin g my mouse x11 theme. However I think it is not that at all, because one can define each pointer mouse without considering a sort of global x11 cursor theme...
I hope it can be possible so much to solve the issue

Not a technical explanation but one that will aide in understanding.
I changed a file that I can't remember which one it was, manually and when I used K3b it changed some of the themes back so some are using one theme and others are using a different one now. For some reason I was not satisfied with Fedora's built in application to change the waitcursor so I changed it directly in the file for it. The particular applications must run a script that change the file that I manually changed back to the original but this file is not shared by all applications. The search term I got the best info from was oddly (mouse themes). I also used Throbber and ,Throbber-cons.Java not working. Imagine a hat tip emotioncon here.
