No mouse Cursor visible in X11

System: Compaq 1830 laptop w touchpad running FC6 and an HP PS/2 2-button mouse.
In X, when I move the mouse, I can hear the HD heads move so I know that FC6 is sensing the mouse movement and button presses. Copied code directly from xorg.config scripts directly from XFree 4.x faqs.
But the screen cursor never moves when the mouse is moved.

Could someone supply a copy of the xorg.conf file for a simple 2-button PS/2 compatible mouse?

TIA
Bob
