Fedora 18 mate and compiz fusion

i installed compiz-mate via the terminal

but now when i type in the terminal compiz-mate-emerald

i get in the output compiz (video) - Warn: No 8 bit GLX pixmap format, disabling YV12 image format

what has gone wrong?

as my subject says im running Fedora 18 with mate

That's a harmless warning, nothing has gone wrong.

To the OP - Is everything working, or are you having any issues? You haven't really mentioned anything about the actual problem that you are experiencing.

im sorry my internet access isnt really all that good, i have to go places to get it anyway... to answer the question no it will not start up... aka no compiz effects

Based only on that one line of output from compiz, it did start up. Did you configure it at all via ccsm? Does 'ps ax | grep -i compiz' show that compiz is running?

I am sorry for the delay in responding to you... I have unfortunately killed thats installation and have not had time to do a reinstall
