Question contents of glib

Does the glib contain c header files for standard library or does it contain the implementation of standard library itself?

glib is "the standard library."

It is a rather large library, containing the actual implementations of the many functions that make up this all-important resource.

Touch Not This!

Thanks for your reply. Does even linux kernel depend on GLib's runtime libraries for its operations like memory allocation, file creation, etc? Is it like linux kernel cannot operate without glib installed or does the kernel has its own implementation of these functions?

I think i got the answer. GLib only contains user space functions and it depends on Linux system calls to do kernel operations like memory management, process management, etc. These are not implemented separately in glib. Am i right?
