cannot resolving Hostname

Hi,

I just installed GroundWork Core monitoring system on Ubuntu 11.10. After I can access GroundWork perfectly from local computer that installed GroundWork. but if I try to access GroundWork through Firefox (using IP address) from the different computer using in same network Its getting message "Firefox can't find the server at <hostname>".

Please could anyone know how to resolve this problem for me?

Thanks

dilan

Hi,
If you are trying to get back to your local system via the internet, your system may not be able to see the IP address of your other computer. This would likely be due to the router you're using. It may be presenting a different IP address on the network than your local IP network.

yes we have dns server on our Windows server 2008. you are right, I did map the IP address of the server to this specific hostname via our dns server and change my loopback address from 127.0.1.1 to 127.0.0.1. It's worked. Thank you very much
