Question 3D distorsion with Voodoo5 and Redhat 7.2

I have 2 systems at home, one has a voodoo3 and the other a Voodoo5 graphic adapter. Both have Redhat 7.2 installed
Both have direct rendering enabled when running the glxinfo command.
The picture on the Voodoo3 is fine both in 2D and accelerated 3D graphics ( like TuxRacer )
The picture on the Voodoo5 is fine in 2D mode, but with the 3D accelerated applications( TuxRacer ,the Racer racing sim or the EPSXE playstation emulator ) the display is distorded and looks like the horizontal lines all converge to the left bottom of the screen.
Does anyone has a suggestion to fix the problem?
Is ther anyone who runs Redhat 7.2 on a Voodoo5 equiped system without any 3D problem?

Thanks in advance for any reply I could get.

same problem

I have the same problem.

I just installed Linux Redhat 7.2 on my normally WindowsXP system, first time ive ever used linux but it seems like ill get used to it. My Voodoo5 5500 64mbs registers fine and i was happy about that, but for some reason everything with 3D is just a line to the top right. The 2d graphics are fine. Help us :-(

Also, does anyone know how i can start learning how to use redhat? like a comprehensive guide or a chat room i can just ask people questions in? I have to get used to it!

Thanks

I found the problem and posted the answer on the RedHat f support forum, in the XWindowing system support forum->Video Cards section:
http://www.redhat.com/WebX?13@31.2bgPaYtfVFK^9@.ee7c789

As I mention in the post, this is basicaly a buggy voodoo5 library in the Redhat distribution
I hope this helps

BTW: when im running KDE (which i LOVE) how do i switch to XWindows so i can get the files from my Fat32 partition if i download the files with windows? Or better yet, how do i just get the files onto the linux partition, windows interoperability was installed but i dont know how it works! Thanks in advance....
