Only for Linux games, please!
The original question is :
Can anyone tell me what they think is the best free online game for Linux?
In that list we can see a lot of games only for windows.
Couldn't you just get the games for Linux links and paste they here? After all, you wrote it, so you know it, and then we don't need to go opening lots of game's' websites, then download and/or FAQ pages, to discover if it runs or not under Linux.
BTW, I think that was the idea when the question was made, just to have a good list of LINUX games.
Back... I HAVE TO EDIT........
Look at this wonder websites homepage from your list:
Little one: the Hero On Line game link is a site that are not online... :-) the server can't be found...
But this other one is to remember:
Web page of Silkroad Online is optimized under below condition.
Windows Operation Systems ( Microsoft Windows 9X/Me/NT/2000/XP/2003 )
Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.0 and above.
!!!!!!!!!!!
And is it!!!! Nothing more!!!!! Of course I saw a lot of games that doesn't run on linux, but this one.... even the website!!!!!!!
That is a new record!!!!!!!! And then there is nothing more... maybe iexplorer's users are redirected to a real website....

The Hero Online link works. I'm not sure if your aware of it, but web servers do sometimes go down for various reasons.
The reason there aren't many F2P MMORPG's on Linux is simply because it's easy to program in DirectX. Don't argue with me why, just look at all the DirectX games there are.
And yes, I can tell you the best games for Linux. Battle for Wesnoth, Enemy Territory, and America's Army are great games that work on Linux. There are hundreds more, but those have great graphics, good communities, and solid gameplay.

I am not asking about why there is more win games, and never said nothing related with this.
Directx stuff is evident, but it is not the point.
The question is: no one here needs a list of win games, this is a linux forum, the question was about linux games, and if you are looking for propaganda to your writings, I am sure you can pay an add in this website, and by the way, I am not asking your opinion about games, I am saying that you answer the question, with links to LINUX GAMES and not to your article, that is NOT about linux games.
There is some good texts about good questions and answers, but none works if you don't read the question!! Or if you prefer to use the question to talk about what you are writing at other places.
It is terrible and a waist of time to look for linux games and end at a list of windows games, with some linux ones lost in the middle.
ok, I understand the rules now. If it's not completely about Linux, then don't post it here. Well, to correct my previous propaganda post, let me correct it by posting this.
