Redirect print output to a folder instead of printer?

Greetings,
I am running Red Hat AS 2.1 - So far, the server have been performing quite nice, better than I expected. I have these XML report that I often prints, but sometimes I would like to send the output to a folder or a directory instead. As for the Windows environment, you can print to a file *.prn if you chooses to. Does anyone here know how I can achieve this task? Please help!

Hi xmdms,
I read your post this afternoon, tried a little and I couldn't find an answer. Now, I went to my mentor, "google", and did it the question. I found an article on the problem I had during the afternoon try. As, probably you printing subsystem is "cups", that article wears you as a glove. Here is the link: http://www.aplawrence.com/MacOSX/macosxcupstofile.html
If it doesn't answer you problem or you chose another print subsystem (lprng), please post your results for us to continue with the search for a solution.
Have a nice week end!
