R-Pi NOOBS Problem

Howdy;

I just downloaded the Raspberry Pi's NOOBS
file, (NOOBS_v1_3_4.zip), and attempted to
unzip it for transfer to my sd card.
Unfortunately, unzip can't find it's hole
in the ground from....Well, this is what I
get:

# unzip NOOBS_v1_3_4.zip
Archive: NOOBS_v1_3_4.zip
End-of-central-directory signature not found. Either this file is not
a zipfile, or it constitutes one disk of a multi-part archive. In the
latter case the central directory and zipfile comment will be found on
the last disk(s) of this archive.
unzip: cannot find zipfile directory in one of NOOBS_v1_3_4.zip or
NOOBS_v1_3_4.zip.zip, and cannot find NOOBS_v1_3_4.zip.ZIP, period.

And of course, gunzip simply turns up its
nose.

#gunzip NOOBS_v1_3_4.zip
gzip: NOOBS_v1_3_4.zip: unknown suffix -- ignored

I'm beginning to wonder if NOOBS was created by
BOOBS, or what.

Anyone got a cure for this one?

Bill

Hi,

I just downloaded 'NOOBS_v1_3_4.zip' and used ' unzip NOOBS_v1_3_4.zip' with no errors. Checks OK. Try using http://director.downloads.raspberryp...OBS_v1_3_4.zip as the download file. I did use 'wget http://director.downloads.raspberryp...OBS_v1_3_4.zip' in a terminal without quotes.

Thanks a heap guy;

wget and the links got a good archive. I don't know what
the problem was, but between firefox and ktorrent, I tried
six times, and just couldn't get a workable zip file at all.
