Which is still too much on a 4 gig drive, when you need another 1.5 GB or so for MS Office. And you'll also want some space for downloaded packages, otherwise you'll have issues when updating.

Really, the OP needs a distro with a base install of less than ONE gigabyte. Such distros certainly exist.

go with a minimal debian or buntu install with e17 as wm set at netbook style
about 900-1.2Gb if your frugal

you do a net-install, minimal, no desktop,etc

then build it from there
and you'll learn alot

Hey Ruixituh
I'm gonna download the usb .img
and make it into an iso that can be installed to usb with unetbbotin
I dont favor dd images to usb

I'll havwe it uploaded around noon if you want it
