Add gparted to knoppix

Does anyone know how to add and what version of gparted to add to the knoppix 5.0.1 live cd??

It has to be gparted cuz qparted does not support moving ntfs partition, gparted does!

Thank you!

im pretty sure that gparted is already installed on the latest knoppix distro

but if it's not, you can remaster.
it's a pretty simple process, and it can be done in the comfort of your local Linux distro, you just need create_compressed_fs and extract_compressed_fs
Doing it locally is faster and easier than all those steps in Knoppix

if you still need help, post here

good luck,

The list of included packages in knoppix 5.1.1 shows gparted (0.25) as being available, so assuming it wasn't just added recently, it should be as simple as booting it up, opening up a console, su-ing to root, and running "apt-get install gparted".

You could try to download the debian package for gparted and it's dependencies then , stick them on a usb stick or something, and install them from there using dpkg. A bit more complex, I know, but maybe doable assuming there aren't any package conflicts.
