I heard about something called "KDE Light", I guess a special version of KDE meant to be faster and smaller. Yet, I search around and only find dead links. Is this project abandoned?
There is KDE-mod for Arch Linux. I have not used it recently, and the developers have been working on Chakra, which is Arch + KDE-mod. I'm not current on this, so have a look at their website.: http://chakra-project.org/
