centos-KDE problem

I am using centos latest version, for the past one week, I could not use KDE session in centos, Whatever I type I couldn't see those characters/letters in the screen of "a) konsole b) google-browser, c) firefox )all type of editors; such as: kedit, gedit and etc".

besides that KDE by root acccess has no issue. I get this probelm only on my user login.

This was not in the case of centos-GENOME. Atpresent I am using GENOME.

Could you please let me know me, what was the problem and how to solve it.

thank you in advance

It sounds as if something in your /home/[username] configuration files has gone screwy.

You can test this by creating a new user and seeing whether KDE runs normally for him.

If so, you can then selectively delete or rename (much better) the hidden configuration files for one of the offending applications, then restart the application so it recreates the configuration file, and test again.

Repeat for successive applications, being very careful to not to blow away any crucial data (that's why I recommend renaming or moving the configuration files, rather than deleting them).
