KDE 4 + CentOs 5 ( RHEL 5)


basically subj.
i got this (http://kde-redhat.sourceforge.net/) from their (centos) wiki, but yum search returns only version 3.5

Any ideas?

so far i got 2 responses from guys on CentOs and kde-redhat forums confirming that no (usable) rpms has been created.

I doubt you will find much help. You have to do it on your own. CentOS is meant to be stable. For newer versions of software like KDE4 you can always use fedora.

yeah... well, i originally ( once fedora started ) used it.
My "problem" with fedora was the frequency of updates ( too many , too often) and their their life cycle - every 6 months new project. Which required all new settings, new tons of updates.... It was braking the things that i just got to work with the previous version. So i abandon it for smth more stable. I guess CentOs is just a bit too stable for me .
