Please do a spell check on this and avoid using run on sentences. I can't understand what your're trying to say unless I read it many times.
By the way, the most stable OS is definitely not windows ME.

Start > Run > msconfig > <press Enter>
Them remove the program from starting up if its listed there somewhere in the options or window that comes up.
Anything else, well, you didn't really get into any further details about it so no one will know, not even really sure if you were asking for help.
win 2000-- don't like 98 for crashes. Server editions sound cool.
should try 3.1 for kicks. oops.. had 3.1 networking floppies.. (like 10 ish) and formated them for linux... oops

Well i just installed win2003 server and omg.. Whenever i go to the start menu, the computer lags for oh 15 seconds and no my computer is fast. 1.4ghz 256 mb ddr 3300 40gb 7200 rpm.. But not only the start menu, any menu that extends out! It's freakishly annoying if you figure you want to go to
all programs > games > counterstrike = 45 seconds of waiting!!
if any of you guys do know how to fix, plz let me know
For my opinion, windows sux ass.. but i still have to use it for some things. win 2000 is the most stable that i've seen.

Disable shadows under menus. That should do it
Right click my computer>>properties>>advanced tab>>settings button under performance>>visual effects tab>>uncheck "show shadows under menus".
