"The 'Band of Gypsys' is a live album by Jimi Hendrix and the first without his original group, the Jimi Hendrix Experience. It was recorded on January 1, 1970, at the Fillmore East in New York City with Billy Cox on bass and Buddy Miles on drums, frequently referred to as the Band of Gypsys."
So "date +%s" actually reports time in seconds since Band of Gypsys was recorded
wow!, that is really good, never heard it recorded live before, i remember that song as a studio recording from way back in the 1970's
thanks
Glad you liked it. You are by no means alone since it was hard then and probably harder now for a horn band to gain traction in the marketplace of popularity despite what accomplished musicians they all were/are and despite what a bona fide Fire Breathing 6-String Monster Terry Kath was. It's kinda like....

Hey Lysander666. I know newer autotune is harder to detect than early versions but I can still hear it (it's no longer that "fluid" sound but it definitely sounds processed) and I don't hear it on that track. Covering Lindsay Buckingham on a simpler tune like "Go Your Own Way" is hard enough, especially for a flat picker, but that's an impossibility for true accompaniment playing like Lindsay has done pretty much forever. That takes years of practice and dedication in just that style.
BTW thanks for the link. That was really great to see and hear. I've only personally known (not just heard of) maybe 3 guitar players in my life who I know could do this. I;m not counting Chet Atkins because though I've heard him do this I never met him.

Ah, glad to hear it. My ear is not as trained as yours in these things.

I used to be able to play it to a standard, I would say I was about halfway there. It's actually not that hard, it's just getting your head round the rhythm. I was never much of a finger-picker though, I was much more comfortable with a plectrum. I switched from guitar to oud many years ago so my guitar playing is a lot less fluent than what it used to be.
TY. Love it.
Look for the drummer on the "Brothers in Arms" Cover.
I thought about some Dusty Springfield, changed my mind and chose “The other ONE”. (Getting better later during the show).
Side-note: If you must indicate that you *copied* music, write something like that, but NEVER use the word RIP on a searchable Web-content about Annie Lennox. TY! (Looks alright)
