Well of course! After all, Jesus saves, but Buddha makes incremental backups.

Because it is widespread, popular, free, GPL, and is meant to be user-friendly. Besides I simply can't imagine "gentoo christian edition", "satanic slackware" or "muslim LFS". It somehow doesn't fit with distribution's idea (IMHO).

On a more serious note can you imagine trying to get through customs with an installed version of any of these distros?

You would definitely have some 'splaining to do.

I would imagine only the ME edition would get you noticed. Nobody would pay any attention to the CE or SE versions, well maybe to the SE, if the person next to you is a bible-thumper.

I would purposely run UbuntuSE in some places just to piss off all these uptight religious twats. I make no apologies what-so-ever for this statement!

Ubuntu may well have a Christian version, but surely the Unixtarian Church was first!

Funny you should say that. Rev. Ivan Stang has just acknowledged Slackware Linux (This week's podcast of The Hour Of Slack). Also, Pat Volkerding is an ordained Minister of the Church of The Subgenius...

From this weeks podcast of The Hour Of Slack...

Perhaps, but first it bides it's time. After a few weeks it issues a fatwa against all your files and other partitions, and attempts to convert other OS towards itself, and if it cannot then it detonates.

ubuntu flavors

Well If somebody wants to design those flavors: well then thats there
business. But I have only one beef with Ubuntu CE,is that it
disable's a person from logging in on Sunday. That in my opinion
is something from 1984 by George Orwell. Other ones such as Ubnutu
ME I haven't read about so I can't say anything

But other than that I don't really condem religious based Linux
(But I think it would be terrible for a Linux to promote Terroristic
acts against one country or religion)

But I am going to install ubuntu ME to piss some of my relgious
friends who are biased

I joked earlier that if there were a JE (Jewish Edition), it would log you off around a certain time on Friday (Jewish Sabbath). I would imagine ME would have something like that for Friday prayers too, or maybe it logs you off 5 times a day, every day. Now that would suck!

Careful with the ME, your 'friends' might decide to report you to homeland security.

I am rather disappointed in the SE version. It is just imagery. It doesn't have any quotes or passages from Anton Levy's Satanic Bible, so SE is rather useless.

So what would piss off your religious friends the most? The SE or ME version?

Ubuntu Flavors

It depends on who see the OS

1. My grandmother(who has a fear of Muslins) would probley
ban me from her house then call the FBI
2. If she saw the SE edition she would call the preacher
at her church(she is a bible thumper)and they would set up a blockade
around my house. They would send relgious gurus to me. I also
wouldn't be able to go to Wal-Mart,Gas Station or even Pizza hut
or Mcdonalds.(I live in the Deep south). If I did they would
chase me thru the Streets with Torches and Pitchforks

LOL!!!!!!! Those religious types really crack me up. I live in the south too, well, maybe TX isn't considered 'deep' south, like Alabama, or other 'good ol boy' states, but close enough. I see my fair share of Bible-thumping morons here, and of course the moron sect too. Oh, I mean, mormons.
