Well it seems that OregonJim was right on one issue - I don't fully grasp how our Forum stats work. Just below our names at the left hand header are several lines, some of which we can write in our own personal info and some are collected by the Forum, such as Registered (date), Location, and number of posts and the resulting rep given to us by other members.
Jim's posts are numbered at "98" in that header but today I clicked on his name and selected "Find more posts by (this moniker)" just to see what percentage of them were all in this thread. There were, at this time, 9 pages of roughly 433 posts listed. Anyone who has bothered to check this seeming discrepancy for example between 98 and 433 please inform me of how and why this works this way. Just FTR, of some 433 posts. roughly 137 were not in "Faith and Religion Mega Thread" so 98 does not apparently count the number of posts in that specific thread.
This is an OT tangent so if you'd like to keep more "on Topic" anyone is welcome to PM me instead of posting here (though I imagine it holds some interest for every member if only casual) on how these stats work.
For me (and I hope any) it all steams down to evolution[1] of education. When it rains it beads or streams... let me get that; love is a great teacher but we'all need some more new amendments (so it is texted!)
I would like to know about any correlations between religions and circumcisions (plus how deep it goes or am I just thinking with it,) we opinionize it towards health as well but as a baby wasn't offered a second opinion... http://kidshealth.org/en/parents/circumcision.html
...growing up I was made to go to school, no choice, thank earth for that one.

Not quite in the mood today. I just read bi-polar news. NASA has a "go" on 2 important endeavors -
1) an orbital lab that is based on the LIGO device to begin using the proof-of-concept of land-based installations to a whole new realm of Astronomy
2) Since new chemical evidence nearly doubles the likelihood of life on Europa, a deep study probe is underway
Why bi-polar? 2 reasons. The most common one is that many projects (like the incredibly important James Webb space telescope, Hubble's offspring) get approved and then scrapped which severely damages the US position. Thee is already a "brain drain" because we dropped the super-collider so if you're a budding particle physicist, you move to Europe, where the work (and support) is. Now that space exploration is being added (James Webb was REALLY important and even has high PR value like Hubble) and it as well as other dropped co-funded projects are left to ESA, I expect a "brain-drain" is beginning in those fields as well.
However, even if those 2 projects go all the way, I will very likely be dead and buried before they come to fruition in 15-20 years. I'd very much like to know extra-terrestrial Life was found even if only a simple bacteria before I "leave this mortal coil.
PS _ Hats off to ESA. They do superb Science. I's just like to see the US "in the ring" as well.

Reason: typo and PS
Thanks and you're welcome, Jamison20000e. I'm betting there is still microbial life on Mars but underground (like within rocks) and probably more difficult to "unmars" by robotics than human "boots on the ground". That said, I have to agree that with odds getting so high, one of the jobs of the deep probe is to find the location(s) of the thinnest ice cover so that a practical probe can actually get into the ocean underneath and take samples.
Still be smarter than cult follow or be the leader:::
if only we could give "scientific discourse without the need for further explanation..." with a magical: also better than any anthropodermic bibliopegy!!?

Reason: + + + + :p
Okay, let's pick a new topic and start debating! (P.S. Someone needs to change the bottle on this water-cooler ...)
That's great sundialsvcs!
I am one among the many audience of this thread and I am entertained of your informative debate.
I most humbly suggest not to create another thread but bring up a very related "topic" --both to religion and science (as NASA is caught to this as well).
Why not take up: "RESOLVED: PLANET-X (NIBIRU) IS FULFILLMENT OF PROPHECIES AMONG FAITH RELIGIONS"
That way this (great) thread may hit another 200 pages in the counting.
Just a suggestion. You may ignore if that is off your judgment.
