Just because you do not know if a change has worked until you have tested it!
Edit:
OK I have the logo!

Hi,

Just curious as I had a major set back on two of my machines. I just noticed the icon.

I've been working to get things going for the last three days. Back up failure on one and hardwar failure on another. Luckily I can revert to M$ on the laptop until I polish back to Slackware.

Boy, do they ever change things while your gone for a few days.

Congrads to "GrapefruiTgirl' for the Mod position. At least I hope it is for you. You'll make a good one!

Sorry to hear about the major setback -- that sucks

While my becoming a moderator isn't new within the last 3 days (but thank you!) the icon thingy (24 hrs old or so) is in BETA testing at the moment (AFAIK) and while you can TEST your icons in the current thread, the actual info and any feedback you might have are over in LQ Sugg & Feedback.

Cheers Onebuck -- best success in repairing your machine(s)

PS - there's where much of the feedback is occurring

I have been thinking about your intermittent double posting issue. Have you checked your mouse? When my wireless mouse is low on power, the single click occasionally double clicks. Probably not relevant, but worth asking about I think...

I never notice the Mod tag before. Again congrads. The last few days have been a fog. I need to pay a little more attention to detail here. Fences need mending and hay to get in. Then those damn computers become another thing to get done. Especially the laptop. I'll get to it.

I like the idea of the icon. It will aid us in the forums, especially newbie feedback. Some might find it to be an invasion of privacy but I don't.

Yes, worth a mention, and thanks for it.

But, it's a corded mouse (I have a wireless but I HATE it) and based on a lot of observation & study, it isn't a double click issue.

If you missed it (and I wouldn't be surprised with all the chatter in here ) here's a link to my (somewhere above) post where I wiresharked the traffic during a double-post event and caught the action: http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...05#post3653205

LOL, as some alcohol-dependent country singer once sang, "..It's Saaat-urday/Mo-onday somewhere!"
