process related issue


I am using cable internet,

When i tried to connect to it through command line

./crclient -u press then it gives me following message

process already running with processid 1101

but when i do ps -x to kill that process, there no such process
running.


??


and no such pid-file is available in /var/run/...


any idea ??

try "lsof | grep 1101"
and "ps aux | grep 1101"
See if its listed in anyone of those outputs if its not then the process is not running or not with that pid anyway.
