SCSI Hard Drive Jumpers Question

Hello, I have a bunch of old SCSI hard drives that I would like to use but sadly I don't have the jumpers that go with them to set them in a RAID in order for them to have separate IDs. When looking at the jumpers, it seems to just be a piece of wire around some plastic. Am I correct in assuming that all the jumper is doing is bridging the small divide between the two pins sticking out? I suppose I could go out and buy some jumpers but is there any way to just get some wire and do this myself? Thanks for the help!

You are right, you do not really need the jumpers, you can just join the pins with some wire to set the SCSI IDs. The jumpers just make it easier to change the settings.

It is some years since I have had the pleasure of working with SCSI, but do not forget to "terminate" the last device on your SCSI bus, or it may not work at all.
