Woman was trusted, given full power to control man's destiny, because biologically she is much more advanced; but today her ability to make everyone happy is degenerating. And the degeneration of woman is in turn the cause of our present-day troubles.-Michio Kushi from The Order of the Universe

Most sexual orientations wait for someone to make the pits of their stomachs to burst with flame. Asexuals wait for someone to make flowers grow from their hearts.

I'm asexual, though occasionally I'm attracted to inanimate objects. Mainly tube-shaped objects.
Jarod Kintz, This Book is Not FOR SALE

I want to be asexual, because then I could be more productive. But not reproductive.

I want to gather up all the ink cartridges in the universe, because somewhere, mixed in with all that ink, is the next great American novel. And Id love nothing more than to drink it.

Every book is a quotation; and every house is a quotation out of all forests, and mines, and stone quarries; and every man is a quotation from all his ancestors.
--Ralph Waldo Emerson
Quote:
A core belief was in the inherent goodness of both people and nature. They believed that society and its institutions ultimately corrupted the purity of the individual, and had faith that people are at their best when truly "self-reliant" and independent.

Their intellectual preoccupations were less reliant on objective empiricism, and more on subjective intuition. They believed that individuals were capable of generating completely original insights with as little attention and deference to past masters as possible.
Add: "Have more than you show, speak less than you know."
--William Shakespeare. King Lear

When enough insane people scream in harmony that they really are healthy, they can actually start to believe themselves. Or put even more simply: people with overlapping delusions get along wonderfully.-Daniel Mackler

I love those who can smile in trouble, who can gather strength from distress, and grow brave by reflection. 'Tis the business of little minds to shrink, but they whose heart is firm, and whose conscience approves their conduct, will pursue their principles unto death.

Thanks Jamison!! Nowadays, ( especially in New York City ) having rock solid principles and integrity are considered akin to having an unwanted disease!!

I was watching sanford & son and lemont was trying to get fred to take heart checkups.

Fred didn't want to go and lemont passed a statics to fred that hypertension is the leading cause of deaths for blacks. And fred replied, "I didn't know that??, I though it was the police."

I chuckled at that quote, because in this day in age, how true that quote is today.
