FYI Bell HSE Bandwidth Caps

I've noticed the Sympatico DSL banner adverts on this site for some time now. Even though I've been with them for approx. 1 & 1/2 years I still hit the banner when I leave LQ (I try to do what I can to help out).
As it turns out they're capping their up & down to 5 gigs/month. That's $44.95 CAD/month + $7.95 for each additional gig over (residential use w/dynamic ip).
Using their meter it seams my last months usage was $132.76 above & beyond my alocation & 4 days into this months period I'm already $48.49 over (not running a server).
The good news: their policy doesn't take effect until the beginning of June & I've already found a DSL re-seller for $10.00 less/month & no plans for capping (fingers crossed).
I'm not trying to deter people from clicking pop-ups that support LQ. Just a heads up regarding Sympatico.
I don't know what it's like in other areas but there is quite the monopoly for high speed isp's in the GTA (for now at least).
This really only affects me in that my pop email will now change. Oh well.

Anyways, taking off now so time to click that (banner) ad.

WHOA, you are getting a popup? Let me know when you get these as I have a strict no popup, popunder, popanything clause in the forums. Some advertisers try to sneak them in on me. Thanks!

Maybe no1zhome is talking about your banner ads instead, as I have been on here daily and dont get pop-ups.

That sucks about the bandwidth limit. Good luck to ya, and my sympathys.

Yes Stephanie (Shadowhacker?) is correct. My bad. I've not yet learned how to use the English language or to communicate my thoughts in an intelligent manner (take a look at my user name). Oh well.

My apologies to Jeremy if I've caused any concern or confusion (& for not clearing it up sooner).
