External laptop fan without the fan?

Does anyone out there make a slim, lightweight laptop accessory that would keep the laptop base from heating up surfaces?

Actually, someone makes the very item that the OP describes, and it serves the additional purpose of cooling the laptop somehow (fan-operated I presume).

If you google around, I'm sure you'll be able to locate some varieties of this gizmo.

Good luck!

No fans! I have a fan, but all I want is something to raise the laptop a few millimeters, something cheap, durable, and aesthetically pleasing.
