Wow! What a s*** storm! Xerox was the first to invent a drag and drop GUI - and they put it aside thinking it wouldn't amount to squat. Apple made the first GUI personal computer by a gnat's eyelash I guess, but the rest is history. Today's OS X is wonderful, fast and extremely stable and amazingly user friendly. It's based on BSD with Darwin (open) as it's kernel and Aqua (closed) as the GUI. Darwin also serves as the CLI

I don't care who started GUI or the arguement, you can say it nicely instead of swearing at someone. Politeness costs nothing.
I didn't start it.

Not only has this thread turned into a pointless rant, but it has been hijacked.

Much fun is poked at "OS Holy Wars", but we have now seen exactly what happens. Rational debate is non-existent in this thread - and throwing insults in a non-English language on a forum with a worldwide audience is just plain daft.

To stop this getting out of hand.....more out of hand, I am closing this thread.

As ever, read the Rules and if you still disagree with this decision, please email me or the site admin.
