Does Apple Fear the Penguin?

I feel that Apple fears the Penguin, they seem to make it easier for users of Windows to have stuff like iTunes, and Quicktime, is this because they are affraid of what Linux can do? I mean BSD and *NIX aren't that different are they?

If anyone should be afraid it should be linux. Apple does what linux has not been able to do for decades. Make a user friendly operating system that grampa can use. They have support for 90% of recent games, microsoft word and even internet explorer. Apple is light years ahead of Linux when it comes to the commercial market for desktop computers.

90% of games? You have sources? Internet explorer doesn't work under Mac OS anymore.

Macs are still more popular then Linux? I think not.

Apple doesn't fear anything, Windows or Linux. because they do not compete with anyone. No matter how little their market share is, says 4%, they don't care about the other 96% and they try to do their best for their 4%.
And one more thing is that, Apple is the first one who invented the GUI based computer with mouse, while Bill Gates was busy with his lousy command line DOS.

Apple didn't invent anything you dumbass. They stole it from Xerox labs. And Windows 1.0 came out like a year before Lisa. Before you start saying stupid shit get your facts straight.

Apple only got their act together with OSX. their OS before their *BSD clone was terrible and lagging behind Windows in technology and dare I say it, ease of use.

There's nothing worse than supporting a badly managed G4 with OS9...

The mouse was first invented by Xerox. Along with the GUI.

Actually I believe apple has less than 3%, Linux has 3% and is more than Macs. I think I read that in PC World.

WHAT??? 90% of RECENT games? What you smoking man??? It takes them like a year or so to port it. There are no games which are right away available for macs, don't kid yourself. Macs are not gaming computers and never will be. Macs are not meant to be that, Macs aren't gamers computers macs are developers computers.

To put it bluntly, NO S**T SHERLOCK. Linux is an OS, MACS are computers. The Mac OSX is not like Linux because it is NOT a OS which you wing on any computer you feel like. Its proprietary just like mac hardware, compareing macs to linux is foolish because they are not the same at all, Linux is an OS, Macs are computers. Big difference. Macs are preloaded with all the same hardware (pretty much) and have been tested. OS's, line linux, have to test on thousands of things, Macs have mac stuff to worry about thats it thats all.

Macs attempt to make reliablilty which they do reasonably well, but do not kid yourself when you try to compare to linux, they are not comparable. How many computer stores can you walk into and find pre-loaded linux computers or linux boxes on the shelves? Next to none. But almost all have macs, because macs are computer which have a market, Linux is not because it is completly free, if the user wants it they will get it from the net.

I reported this thread to be closed, it is only insulting people and cursing. There is no points. There are many threads which talk about linux gaming, go add to those instead of insulting people here.

I don't care who started GUI or the arguement, you can say it nicely instead of swearing at someone. Politeness costs nothing.
