Not what you should say if you want a relationship.

Us girlies want to be the ones that charge up your cards, not you

Exactly my point, my last girl was the one who contributed most of the debt... probably why I don't have any relationship right now. I have to build up that credit so I can have one..and make her happy

I'm in a relationship already - I am comitted to my girlfriend (we've been together for so long that there's no difference either it is her llife or mine it's all common now the difference is subtle), and here with LQers, LQ has become like a second family to me, I'm here almost everyday, and when I am not here due to dumb earthlink downtimes I'm missing LQ, I even used up 70 hrs of dial-up (with only 20hrs free - earthlink shutdown my DSL account for some unknown reason and it wasn't up for whole May) privious month to come here and comfort myself in LQ environment.
:-)

And I thought I spent too much time here. I am getting better at not spending so much time here on my days off though.

Man, this thread really took a turn in direction. One minute its about chicks and digging linux, then about chicks fighting, then us hitting on our lovely girlie Stephanie, then about money and traveling to England, along with relationships.. then about spending too much time on LQ.

I dont mind... I am getting alot of attention and flirty advances.

So out of curiosity... how many of you caffeine addicted men actually have no life outside your computer, let alone home?

And Tricky dear, spending time on your wireless LQ connection does not constitute being out

First off, which computer, that gets kinda confusing when I've seeded half this town with accounts...

Secondly, what's a life? I work 3-Midnight, so most of my nightlife consists of getting diner at the later night bars with co-workers when all of the day people are so sloshed as to be about to pack it in for the night.

Damn did you ever nail the caffeine addicted nail on the head though. Its time for more coffee, who wants any?

We're still working on that one. the 100 Base-T connection was easy enough, but for wireless we're trying to outfit his kneecap with a pcmcia bridge, its getting ugly.

Lastly, Neo5x7, congrats on making 1k mate, we now have a northeastern addict!!! wooohooo!

Cheers,

Finegan

P.S. tundra, look at what you started.

Actually I try to get out once a week, usually a Friday or Saturday night hanging out down on 6th street since I work usually 12 hour shifts Saturday thru Tuesday.

Yeah, actually no more wireless in my house, its all hardwired now. I just loved being in a 120 degree attic running wires for my roomates connections cause they complained too much about the sorry wireless connection they had. It should have been them running them, but you know, you have to do it yourself if you want it done right. One of them wouldn't know how or what to do and god knows, probably end up falling thru the ceiling.

But yeah, the scheduled operation for the wireless connection in my knee cap is this Wednesday, hopefully it goes well as Dr Finegan is the operating surgeon.

Oh and I am not addicted to caffeine, right now its Arizona Green Tea for me.... well, that has caffeine in it.. ok maybe it is the caffeine I am addicted to

Thanks mates, I just noticed that I am the only one addicted in NE league, well it should start at some point. So, well, here comes the real question close or not to close the thread.

Luddite roommates too eh there Tricky? I'm down to one, luckily not the previous one that masqueraded as a CS major between clubbing. He was hard to convince of certain things... like surge protectors and the fact that when his 100Mb download of all of the collected MP3s of DJ whocaresreally faulted out in the last 5 Mbs that it had nothing to do with my P1 200 Linux NAT box and probably more to do with IE's download manager.

Offhand, I've got a luddite roommate now that just ordered a new crate that's going to be running off some of the spare hardware I had lying around: NIC, vid card, hard drive, cdrom, you know, what he calls the "little stuff", so my one condition on this "loan" of kit was that I get 5Gb of Linux space and he has to learn enough to stop asking me how to get X started on the living room term. What distro? I'm kinda behind on what crowns the bubblegum distros right now. Mandy? RH?

Oh, and about the operation, I couldn't get stowed away on the airfreight fly-by night to Texas as we planned, but I did borrow the Ga Tech's rail gun, so I'm going to have to ask you to lie down on the roof of your house and hold very still, and ignore the ten penny nails that we shoot into the fireplace, that's just siting everything in. ANyone here offhand know how to properly build a breakaway heat shield for an IBM 9250 TCIC pcmcia bridge?

Cheers,

Finegan

on top of missing this particular lq flirt fest, i've been slowly watching my descent from what used to be the heights of the forum... *sigh*... #8 and dropping...

actually, i'm just insanely jealous that steph is getting all the attention now... dammit

ermm... i'm not sure what nasa has been up to recently, but i think they've got some pretty affordable ceramics available at just about any walmart that would probably make a servicable re-entry craft of some sort. if you're going on the cheap tho, try aluminum foil...

better double up on the ether, tricky...

Actually my car might not hack it to outside the perimeter to the nearest wal-mart, 4 miles or so. I'll have to settle for the local corner store, but there are some insane things you can do with Pringles cans these days.

And you want to talk about jealousy, I gotta deal with tundra, who's a bigger smartass than I am!!! what am I going to do, he turned Linux into a verb! I can't hack it anymore, I'm just going to have to re-enroll and get a degree in anthropology or windsurfing or something

Steph getting all of the attention? come on, we dedicated a thread to where have you been... so any more tales of LA; the times I've been there I either stopped at the beach for an hour before heading back, or stopped for gas on the way north to the bay area.

Cheers,

The slightly less bombastic Finegan

OK Stephanie. I'm sorry.

Can you post a picture of yourself then and then we'll all be reassured.

In anticipation that you might post a picture of someone fictitious, here's a picture of me on holiday.
