kppp.allow - which ect folder does it go in?

Hi,
I am trying to get permissions set for users to run KPPP without having to enter the root password.
I understand that KPPP checks for a file kppp.allow which contains the user names, and that this should be in a folder etc.
I have tried putting a kppp.allow into every etc folder in the system but still get the message that I need root privilege to run KPPP as a user.
What am I doing wrong?

hi
try the following
Quote:
open the file: /etc/pam.d/kppp

change the string: auth sufficient pam_rootok.so

change to: auth sufficient pam_permit.so
