Ok. This will be an interesting question, but one which I think someone may have an answer to. I have the Suse wine rack for starters, which includes copies of transgaming's wineX, crossover office, and crossover plugin. I'm testing out fedora on my system, and thought I'd try to install winex from the rpm on the wine rack cd. Not suprisingly, it has some unresolved dependencies, but only 3 -
python-gtk
python-gnome
python-numeric
So I went on an RPM hunt. I can find a python-numeric RPM for fedora, which installed just fine, but I can't find fedora RPMS for the other 2. Trying to install any other distro's RPM's for those packages, I get "this file conflicts with that file" errors.
I'm wondering if python-gtk and python-gnome are already installed, just named slightly different (I think it's pygtk on my system). Pretty sure, because the file conflicts are with pygtk files. Anyone know how to get around the rpm's dependencies on those libraries, or point it towards the same software with a slightly different name?
Or, even better but more unlikely, does anyone know where to get fedora RPM's for those remaining 2 packages?
I just want WineX!
