Question Transfer PCMCIA info from Knoppix to Fedora

Hello,

I have installed Fedora on my Tp 600e (I'm not even goingto worry about the sound issues for now!) What I would like to do is get my Xircom cardbus ethernet + modem working. Knoppix 3.2 auto-configures this card perfectly - both the ethernet and the modem work. Fedora configures the ethernet but doesn't find the modem. (Even Knoppix doesn't get the sound working.)

What do I need to copy from the knoppix configuration to Fedora to replicate what Knoppix does for the xicom card? I know knoppix is debian based, so to what extent will I be able to transfer what I find to fedora?

Thanks a lot. I'm pretty new to linux so actual listings of code, etc., would be extremely helpful.

Cheers . . .
