Mouse problems


I have a Logitech MX-510 mouse and have just installed Fedora w/KDE.....I cant see to be able to use the foward and back buttons on the mouse like I could with Mandriva and Windows.I like this feature in Fire Fox to go back and forth from web pages with out cliking the back button on the browser.Cab any help?

Did you look at the Logitech site(s) to see if they offer a driver that you could install on your Fedora system? (If there is a driver, it might be "propitiatory," so the Fedora project would not distribute it.)

You might see what driver Mandriva is using, and (if it's not kernel-specific) see if you can use it on Fedora. (My impression is that Mandriva is just an older Fedora with lots of propitiatory drivers added to their repositories.)

Failing to find a driver, you'll need to see what code(s) are generated when the buttons are pushed, and map those codes to the appropriate action.
