how-to write device drivers

i have a lexmark x5150 3 in 1 printer no support for it in fedora2

any good how-to articles i should read before i start?

i have minimal background in C++, and recently C# (I know, Microsoft)

Linux Device Drivers, 2nd Edition

And some low level C code knowledge (memory pointers, files and such...)
