help with ati radeon 9600xt

hi i am new to fedora and recently just installed fedora 3. i have a radeon 9600xt card and i wanted to get tux racer working (it had extremely slow fps), so i followed the instructions on http://www.fedorafaq.org/#radeon. i did exactly what they said and updated the yum.conf to their version and ran the command. the driver seemed to update and install correctly, but now whenever i start up the screen is all black! i can not see anything at all! i am using the fedora core version. 3.6.10.xx_FC3.

can anyone help?

Did you use the correct modules for the current kernel you are using??
Did you upgrade your kernel at all after installing the drivers?

i followed the instructions at the site. it should give the correct modules. i upgraded my kernel before i installed the driver. i hav 2.6.9.xx without the driver and then i upgraded to 2.6.10.xx and then installed the driver in 2.6.10.xx

on a side note, i just installed fc4 test 1.
