I have an ATI Radeon 9600XT video card, and I am running Debian-Sid with kernel 2.6.10-1-386. I followed the instructions to
install the "fglrx" driver, word for word.
When I completed the process [with no errors at all] I restarted the Xserver and got this error:
Code:
(WW) fglrx: No matching Device section for instance (BusID PCI:1:0:1) found
(EE) fglrx(0): No valid modes found
(EE) fglrx(0): PreInitModes failed
(EE) fglrx(0): R200PreInit failed
(EE) fglrx(0): Screen(s) found, but non have a usable configuration.
Fatal server error:
no screens found
I think this has something to do with using the kernel's AGPGART driver, which is not picking up my video card.
Any ideas?
