gst-register?

I installed Gaim-vv, after I installed the gst-jpeg2000-1.0.0 there was a pop up on all the sound and video programs that said
Quote:
Registry is not present or it is corrupted, please update it by running gst-register
I tried entering gst-register into the terminal but I got this
Quote:
bash: gst-register: command not found
can anyone help?

thank you in advance...

I had this problem. As I recall, you don't have to be root to run the command, and you have to run it for each individual user.
