Error on Fedora core 4 installation - Error informing the kernal about modifications

Hello.

I am trying to install Fedora core 4 on this computer:

MSI K8N NEO4 F, nForce4, Socket-939, ATX Raid, Lyd, 4xSATA, GbLAN, PCI-Ex16
AMD Athlon 64 3200+ 2.0GHz Socket 939, 512KB, BOXED m/vifte
Corsair Value S. PC3200 DDR-DIMM 1024MB Unbuffered, Non-parity, 128Megx64, CL3
Gainward GeForce 6600GT 128MB GDDR3, PCI-Express,"Ultra/1960PCX Golden Sample

My partitions is set up like this

|--hda1--| |-hda5-||--hda6---|
|---------| |------||---------||---------------------------|
windows xp Swap / (ext3) NTFS

I choose to format "/" and leave everything else the way it is. Grub is to be installed on MBR.

After all the settings are set, I get an error when i try to start the main install. This part

Quote:
Error informing the kernal about modifications to partition /dev/hda5 - device or resource busy. This means Linux won't know about any changes you made to /dev/hda5 until you reboot--you shouldn't mount it or use it in any way before rebooting.
I hav tried to format swap and /. I have tried to disable "SElinux". But the installation always stops whith this error. Any suggestions?

I can't find any posts about this, and those who exists are not sovled

Thanks.

reformat.

leave lots of empty space, with only the windows partitions left alone. No swap, no nothing linuxwise.

Let the disk druid create and format partitions.

Create /boot / and swap. (FC4 likes this config - though you are well advised to also create a seperate /usr and /home until such time as RH gets the "upgrade" utility working properly. this way a fresh install leaves all your settings and third-party stuff alone)
