Error message when starting

I receive the following message when staring up:

Could not find internet address for aclarion(my username) This will prevent Gnome
from working correctly. It may be possible to correct the problem by adding "aclarion"
to the file /etc/host

Start anyway or try again.

What does this mean?

Rick

This was answered here...

But yes you can use the system with no problem...just pinging your hostname won't work until you update /etc/hosts The update is real time so as soon as you save it it become effective.
