Error message when starting
I receive the following message when staring up:
Could not find internet address for aclarion(my username) This will prevent Gnome from working correctly. It may be possible to correct the problem by adding "aclarion" to the file /etc/host Start anyway or try again. What does this mean? Rick |
This was answered here...
http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...hreadid=213571 But yes you can use the system with no problem...just pinging your hostname won't work until you update /etc/hosts The update is real time so as soon as you save it it become effective. |
