Unhappy Browser Problem


Okay i installed new kernel somehow removed access to web browser i can ping my router my windows box i.e internet sharing i can ping websites all okay

i have turned off ipv6 via /etc/modprobe.conf
also option timeout:1 in resolv.conf file still no joy i have disable iptables still no joy where is this coming from....?

Looks like browser wants too connect but some switch somewhere says no.

You shouldn't turn off the ipv6 that way ! Undo it.

Can you "ping google.com" ? If so then your DNS resolver and gateway
settings are OK. If not you have a basic networking problem.

Where did you get the kernel ? If not from a "yum update" then
what was it compiler with ? Does rebooting the previoous kernel
solve the problem ?

Installed fc5

Sorry i gave up downloaded and installed fedora core 5 doing a yum update at the moment all is good. apart from my wireless card rt2500 oh oh what a headache
