Question X Org X Server alternative

Hi,
I would like to know if there exists a (serious) alternative to the "X Org X Server" with Debian or if it is the only reasonable option to consider?
Thank you.

Hi,

although weston and wayland exist in Debian unstable (and possibly testing), they are not quite ready for real use. So for now, AFAIK, if you are looking for a "works out of the box", everyday gui for a desktop/laptop, Xorg is your only option.
