Question Where can I learn about dpkg-buildpackage?

I want to learn how to compile sourcepackages, where can I learn about this?
(I want to bulid my own apt-source on a CD)

The dpkg-buildpackage man page is pretty illustrative. If you need more info on building debs in general, then google for "Debian New Maintainer's Guide".
