KDE Weather Station Reports -273deg!

Hi,

I like to have the KDE digital weather plasmoid on my desktop showing the current outdoor temperature & windspeed etc. in my area. In the last few weeks it has stopped working & now reports the outdoor temperature to be -273degC. I'm in Scotland & our summers can be somewhat miserable, but I have a feeling that its a bit warmer than absolute zero!

I've tried selecting different weather stations & a different provider, but still no change.

Any ideas?

I'm using an up-to-date Debian Squeeze system, which means KDE 4.4.5.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions on how to fix this.

Try clearing the rc file in /.kde/share/config/

Or maybe installing/using a different weather widget?

Thanks, I cleared the 'plasma-desktop-appletsrc' inside the directory you suggested, it got me back to a vanilla desktop but it didnt make a difference when i then went & added the digital weather plasmoid. i then put back the original version of that file & got my previous desktop back.

I've not yet found another decent plasmoid. One called pyweather looked ok but gave an error about python, joy.
