Hi,

I bought a BIOS DG950R weather station from Jaycar a while back, and am rather unhappy with it.

It has a wireless remote unit for wind, rain, and external temperature. The base station has a 6vdc plugpack and 3 AA cells for backup. Not! They need replacing every few weeks.

The base keeps losing the display and needs to be reset, losing accumulated max, min, and rain values.

Does anyone know the wireless frequency and protocol details? I would like to build a receiver that I can attach to an old laptop for a more reliable and useful display.
