Gnome Daemon Problem when Debian starts up

I keep getting this message when I log into my account on a debian system. "An error occurred while loading or saving configuration information for gnome-settings-daemon. Some of your configuration settings may not work properly."

This doesn't seem to be causing any problems except a window that I have to close when I log in. Also a terminal keeps opening. Anyway, some light on the problem would be great. Just, where I should look or what may be causing it. Thanks in advance.

Maybe there is a configuration in the .gnome* directories that it doesn't like. You can rename the .gnome directory and see if the new one created fixes it.
