Ok, I'm a slackware guru for the most part, but I decided to use Debian for a particular purpose on one of my machines. Here are the details.
Debian 4.0
Kernel 2.6.18-4-686
Dell Inspiron 8600 Laptop
Integrated Touch pad.
Basic Installation Not too many frills.
Running off a USB drive... USB boot with GRUB.
Running default GNOME
My problem is:
I can't get the mouse resolution to change. I played with all the settings available in the GUI,but it still takes 10, yes 10, full strokes to cross the screen. What can I do to fix this?
