apt-setup missing, any alternatives?

I'm installing a new version of debian and I've come across apt-setup no longer being in the distro.

How can I easily setup new apt sources? Is there a new tool to take over this function or do I have to do it manually from now on?

Best way is probably to do it manually, but apt-spy might help you.

I haven't heard of that one. I've found a few alternative on google but they seem quite old and didn't work. I'll have to try that one.

I'm just looking for something quick and easy that an inexperienced users can use to config alt apt sources. I can edit the sources file manually, but I'm setting up linux for some basically new computer users and they need things to be easy.
